I’ve been reading a lot about Yswara, a luxury tearoom based in the Maboneng Precinct and knew I had to go see it for myself. I looked them up on IG and their decor which is mostly made up of rose gold and pink had me salivating. Finally convinced my husband to go, because our place is quite a distance from town, and this cute little tearoom did not disappoint.
I’m first a coffee lover but my love for hot beverages runs deep and tea is such a healthy alternative.
Tea’s great because of the antioxidants that help slow down ageing by helping cells regenerate and repair. Also the appeal of tea is completely different, I’ll generally make a cup to help me wind down and relax whereas it’s the complete opposite for coffee.
The good people at Yswara source their tea from all over Africa and offer the most beautiful blends – I had such a hard time deciding which one to try out. I finally went with a blend called Makeda of Sheba which is made up of Rooibos, Raspberries and Champagne – now how out of this world does that sound for tea? Quite out there and it was sublime. Lucky for me, I had the entire pot to myself.
